The Priorat is a privileged territory, not only for its beauty and geographical location but for its ernomous wine potential and great wines as well as wonderful olive oil.

We are talking about a small area situated in the province of Tarragona, protected by the natural barrier of Montsant, and where the two D.O. wine producers: D.O.Q. Priorat, and D.O. Montsant co-exist. It is considered as one of the wine producing areas in Spain which is always searching for quality. The other main product of the area is olive oil protected by the D.O. Siurana, it has organic properties quite different from other D.O.’s. The vines have as much importance in the area as the word ‘ Priorat ‘ has been associated with wine grapes such as Garnacha and Cariñena give the red wine its strong colour, its robust flavours, the concentrated aroma, taste and the high grad es, in the D.O.Q. Priorat the vines will be found on slate covered slopes in a countryside reminiscent of the hillsides of the Portuguese Douro or the German Moselle. The exceptional climatic conditions and soil offer a home to wines with enormous personality. The cultivation of the vineyards has opened up, in very difficult conditions on the steep hillsides, where the work of man is indispensable, although recently new terraces have been made to overcome the unevenness.
